Safety Training

L.A.W. Construction Safety Consultants, LLC provides the most up to date training for construction workers, Supervisors and Executives taught by an Authorized OSHA instructor. All training is customized to fit your specific company needs.

Training classes include:

OSHA 10 Hour Construction – The 10 Hour Construction training program is intended to provide an entry level construction worker general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. All participants will receive the necessary course handouts along with a copy of the OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Code of Regulations manual. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card and certificate of completion.

OSHA 30 Hour Construction – The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues.  All participants will receive the necessary course handouts along with a copy of the OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Code of Regulations manual. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card and certificate of completion.

Qualified Rigger (Basic) – This course is designed to address fundamental rigging concepts and equipment for construction workers to be certified an an entry level rigging person.

Qualified Signal Operator – This course focuses on the roles and responsibilities that signal persons have under the revised OSHA standards. Participants will learn to perform proper hand signals and voice commands for both mobile cranes and tower cranes. All participants will be expected to pass a written test along with a practical exam to determine proficiency with hand signals and voice commands.

Scaffold Competent Person* – This course is an in-depth look into OSHA’s Scaffold Standard. Course topics include, but are not limited to, common scaffold hazards, scaffold inspections and fall hazards while working on scaffolds. Upon completion of course and successfully passing a final exam, participants will receive a course completion certificate and a wallet card.

Excavation Competent Person* – This course is an in-depth look into OSHA’s Excavation Standard. Course topics include, but are not limited to, soil analysis, shoring methods, and excavation hazards. Upon completion of course and successfully passing a final exam, participants will receive a course completion certificate and a wallet card.

Fall Protection Competent Person* – This course is an in-depth look into OSHA’s Fall Protection Standard. Course topics include, but are not limited to, typical fall hazards, inspection of fall arrest equipment and implementation of a fall protection plan. Upon completion of course and successfully passing a final exam, participants will receive a course completion certificate and a wallet card.

NEW!!!  First Aid/CPR/AED Training – This training course will certify individuals in the necessary skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency within the first few minutes until EMS arrive. The class can be taught as a combo package or each section individually. Upon completion, all students will receive a certification card which is valid for two (2) years.

(* Only your employer can provide the authority needed to meet the requirements of an OSHA “Competent Person”. The courses are designed to aid you in achieving the knowledge portion of the requirement)

All scheduled training sessions will require a signed contract and possibly a deposit of 50%. If you do not receive a contract from us, please call immediately! There have been reports of fraudulent trainers claiming to work for specific companies, collecting the fees and then either not providing the training or not providing training cards.
